EBay user ID system error?

I tried to use the character "(" Y ")" to my eBay ID … But apparently not let me. But the check in person http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid = (-Bryce-) and ftab = AllFeedback How come that person can use "(" and ")" character? A system error?

Ask eBay.
