ebay paying by cheque

eBay paid by personal check, has not received the item, what are the odds of getting a full refund?

I paid for a phone on eBay with a personal check. Which has been passed to an account then communication ceased seller. I opened a dispute, but have not had a response from the seller. If I took it to the police and courts, what are the overall odds for a full refund? (I got to thinking that the seller may have been using the address as a house empty used only for sending / receiving of goods, but the bank account funds have been taken to be an owner or a responsible person otherwise the vendor, then at least one accomplace) In addition, the actions that I left the war ended, eBay and referring to themselves?

eBay usually do anything with this: I'm sorry but it's true, PayPal is safer, but I guess I've already said-that-is so so do not know. If the check was a good amount of money it would take to poilce, if you have the address may be some something they can take steps Additional services and eBay can save you, but so far this fraud, which in reality nothing do.
