How to report Ebay Profits?
I’d like to know how to report profits from sold items of another company.
Basically, I get only commission from selling other people/companies products.
i have people and companies that supply me with the products but i get only commission(percentage) for selling them.
I just don’t know how to report the profit in my situation.
In the US, you would be working as an independent contractor. The other company will send you what is called a 1099-MISC if you made more than $600 in commissions. Then you will enter this when you do your 1040 for the year.
You may offset that income with any expenses you incurred to earn that income (you pay for internet access, don’t you?).
If you make less than $600, you don’t have to report anything even if you get a 1099.
